Richie Cranny

Founder, President & International Head Coach

An Australian MMA coach and founder of Wimp 2 Warrior. Born in London, Richie began learning boxing from a young age then transitioning to karate and onto MMA in his late teens. Richie is a 4th degree black belt in Pro MAI MMA and is considered a true pioneer of the sport during the 1990’s in the U.K. An amateur and then pro fighter whilst living in London, Richie emigrated to Australia in 2003.

Prior to founding Wimp 2 Warrior, Richie owned and ran some of Australia’s best MMA academies as well as being the MMA Editor for Australian Men’s Fitness Magazine and a contributor to other fitness media outlets.

As Founder and Global Head Coach Richie’s responsibilities extend across gym and coach selection for new licensees and the business development functions that supports licensee growth. Richie leads the panel of coaches that develop our new products and course development as well as overall quality control for the deployment of our training.

Nick Langton

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

With over two decades as a leading financial services executive in Australia, Nick became co-founder of Wimp 2 Warrior in 2013. Completing his own Wimp 2 Warrior journey during 2014, Nick recognised the opportunity to scale Wimp 2 Warrior to become a dominant global brand in the health and fitness sector. A passionate leader with stellar track record of engaging teams driving large businesses to their highest levels of performance, Nick is the architect of the commercial model underpinning Wimp 2 Warrior’s success in the last 2 years.

Nick has a degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Sydney, graduate qualifications in finance and investment and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

As Cofounder and CEO, Nick is responsible for the growth and financial progress of the business as well as the refinement and implementation of group strategy. Nick works closely with his executive team ensuring business resources are being deployed to achieve stated financial targets and commercial growth objectives.


Kelly Hestermann

Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer

With over 16 years experience in operations and project management Kelly has successfully delivered complex programs of work on time and on budget across various global markets in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.

Kelly has a tenacious and innovative approach to driving projects from concept through to completion with the ability to take charge and manage complexity whilst building strong and productive relationships with key stakeholders.

After completing her own journey in 2014, Kelly recognised the unique and special way Wimp 2 Warrior can change lives and saw the opportunity to help extend its reach to millions of people across the world.

With graduate qualifications in Event Management and Marketing, Kelly is a driven and passionate executive with deep experience in all facets of Wimp 2 Warrior’s operations and consumer offer.

As COO Kelly’s responsibilities span all aspects of our operations, with a specific focus on the development and enhancement of our proprietary marketing and payments systems. Kelly also leads the sales and marketing team functions that interface with our licensee gyms and our consumers.

Scott Viscomi

North American President

Scott Viscomi is a passionate Sports Marketing Executive with a dynamic track record of strong leadership in highly competitive markets. He is highly regarded as a trusted, ethically principled team leader and catalyst for growth with a history of consistently exceeding sales and margin goals

Beginning his career in the entertainment and action sports industries, he most recently served as the VP of Sales and Marketing for Alliance MMA, the first ever publicly traded mixed martial arts business on NASDAQ where he pioneered, local, regional and national sponsorship deals and integrated omni-channel marketing partnerships.

As Managing Director for adidas’s North American Combat Sports division, he simultaneously launched eight separate martial arts B2B and B2C product divisions for the iconic global sports manufacturer. Viscomi also worked with Authentic Brands Group as a leader on the team that transitioned the iconic TapouT brand from MMA to World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE) as an owned property.

A dedicated martial artist, Viscomi holds an MBA from Pepperdine’s George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy from Jacksonville University.


John Kavanagh

Europe President

The founder and head coach of Straight Blast Gym Ireland and the current President of the Irish Mixed Martial Arts Association, John is considered a true pioneer of MMA in Europe. Having competed in some of the earliest MMA events in Ireland and the UK, John is the first Irish man to receive a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

John is considered to be one of the best MMA coaches in the world being nominated for the World MMA Awards “Coach of the Year” in 2016 and then winning it in 2017. John is proud to coach Wimp 2 Warrior’s most prominent series as well as performing his duties as President of Europe for Wimp 2 Warrior.

As the most globally recognised member of Wimp 2 Warrior John’s primary role is the identification of new partners across new geographies in Europe and beyond. John contributes materially to program development and refinement and also performs important duties as our most prominent brand ambassador and advocate.

Aaron Links

Chief Financial Officer

Former CFO of Winning Group (Appliances Online, Winning Appliances and Handy Crew Logistics). Over 20 years of finance and management experience in online and offline retail, global manufacturing and distribution and professional services.

Specialises in partnering with the CEO, Board and Executive teams to ensure strategic commercial outcomes, Aaron has also established and runs a successful Outsourced CFO and Finance Team business and has achieved considerable success in his sporting career where he is a multiple time sailing world champion.

Aaron leads and manages the outsource finance team that has been a primary vendor relationship and shareholder of Wimp 2 Warrior since early 2017. Aaron is responsible for overseeing the team that delivers all the core finance functions to Wimp 2 Warrior as well as contributing to group strategy and the advancement of Wimp 2 Warrior’s capital program to support growth objectives.
